Cum One, Cum All (One-Year Anniversary Party Tonight)

If you’ve been paying attention to the message I’ve included at the end of each post for the past week and change, you’ll know what today is. Yes, the official one-year anniversary bash for NakedWithSocksOn.com is on and poppin’ tonight in New York City.

Held in conjunction with the ladies of Digital Glam Squad (Amber, Aura, Martine & Monee) and Digital Thursdays, the party is a celebration of us because without y’all there would be no NWSO. This site would not even have reached a year and grown to where it has without your continued support and critique. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, many of you have become like my extended family. I look forward to your opinions and insight each day and value your varied views—even when we agree to disagree.

With that said, all readers and their friends in the New York and Tri-State area are welcome to share in tonight’s festivities. I’d love to put a few friendly faces to the anonymous screen names. Feel free to make your presence known by introducing yourself and let’s have a great time. For those that can’t make, you’ll be sorely missed but I appreciate you regardless and know you’ll be there in spirit. All I ask is that you continue to keep checking back in on the blog and spreading the word to your family and friends.

Sincerely yours,

NWSO

    1. How did you first hear about or discover NakedWithSocksOn.com? How long have you been reading?

I have been reading for about a year now, since you moved from blogger - so this is probably my 1 year reader anniversary too! Congrats to me!

    2. What part of the world do you live in? (i.e. city & state, or country for international readers).

London, UK so unfortunately the commute to your celebration will be a little too much for me. I hope you al have a great time though.

    3. Are you a daily reader or occasional? Why?

Definitely a daily reader. You are not the type of blogger to repeat yourself or get stale and boring. I know I can come here and 1. I'm pretty much guaranteed a new blog everyday and 2. I'm going to enjoy what I'm reading.

    4. Is there a certain time of day you are most likely to read new posts?

Usually in the morning when I'm not at uni. But with the time difference its probably only a few hours after you've put up a post

    5. How likely are you to check back in on a blog entry to see how the discussion has evolved once you’ve read the latest entry? If so, why?

I don't really follow the discussion unless I've commented, which I rarely do. Not sure why because they always seem pretty animated and insightful. You have intelligent & funny readers.

    6. Based on the current format, do you feel a need to check the site more than once a day? Why or why not?

No - I just assume that there will be 1 blog a day, and if I mis something, I will see it tomorrow

    7. Are you a regular reader that rarely comments? What is it about the blog that you enjoy but doesn’t lead you to join the discussion? Are you worried about being anonymous?

That's me! I have no worries about anonymity. I think it maybe time constraints. When I read your blog, the chances are I have studying that I should be doing (like now). So I usually read and bounce. I'm not sure what motivated me to respond today. Maybe it's an anniversary present! lol

    8. Do you normally read posts on a computer, Blackberry or another mobile platform? If reading on computer, are you more likely to read at home or at work?

    At home. computer

    9. What types of posts do you enjoy the most? Stories, op-ed, personal, humorous, poetry, erotica, replies to reader questions? Why?

    Wet Wednesdays - nuff said

    10. What types of posts do you enjoy the least? Why?

There isn't any particular style that I don't enjoy

    11. What are your thoughts on guest blogs? Are you less likely to read guest bloggers or the author doesn’t matter as long as the content is on point?

I asume that if I like your writing style, and you choose the guest bloggers, then I can trust your judgement. Usually this proves to be the case.

    12. For my Twitter followers and FaceBook “friends,” are the hourly tweets and status updates too much? Does the frequency of promotional blasts make you less likely to visit the site?

Did not realise you were on facebook! - You may get a friend request soon

    13. Are you a subscriber to my email alerts? What led you to subscribe? What do you feel are the benefits of having an email subscription, if any? What are the downsides?

    Nope

    14. Are you a former subscriber who canceled your account? If so, what led you to that decision?

    Nope

So happy anniversary, party hard tonight and please keep doing what you are doing, you are a great distraction from the mundanity of studying (although if I fail - I know who to blame! lol)

  • Abina

Couldn't you have used survey.com for this or something?

    1. How did you first hear about or discover NakedWithSocksOn.com? How long have you been reading?

6 months. I think you were a commenter on Belle's blog so I clicked on your link.

    2. What part of the world do you live in? (i.e. city & state, or country for international readers).
NYC, but currently in FL for school

    3. Are you a daily reader or occasional? Why?
Definitely daily. I find your posts quite humorous and enjoyable. I stay away from the serious ones, but I enjoy the funny and sexy ones.

    4. Is there a certain time of day you are most likely to read new posts?
    12am

    5. How likely are you to check back in on a blog entry to see how the discussion has evolved once you’ve read the latest entry? If so, why?
Once or twice. I do it to see if the topic has sparked a debate of some kind. Most of the time it doesn't..unless it's controversial.

    6. Based on the current format, do you feel a need to check the site more than once a day? Why or why not?
    N/A

    7. Are you a regular reader that rarely comments? What is it about the blog that you enjoy but doesn’t lead you to join the discussion? Are you worried about being anonymous?
I comment occasionally, not too often though. I don't comment because someone usually says what's on my mind. There's nothing more annoying that scrolling to the comments section and seeing 20 people say "I agree." At that point I don't think it's necessary to let you know that I agree with whatever point you've made. lol

    8. Do you normally read posts on a computer, Blackberry or another mobile platform? If reading on computer, are you more likely to read at home or at work?

    I read from the mobile.

    9. What types of posts do you enjoy the most? Stories, op-ed, personal, humorous, poetry, erotica, replies to reader questions? Why?

Humorous posts and replies to reader questions are enjoyable, but I love the personal stories. It's always calming to know that you share similar experiences with someone else. Plus your life is hilarious!

    12. For my Twitter followers and FaceBook “friends,” are the hourly tweets and status updates too much? Does the frequency of promotional blasts make you less likely to visit the site?

Thanks to you, I know about future tweets, but damn. They are a little toooooooo much. I'd come here three times a day regardless of your hourly updates, but that's just me. The updates might be helpful to someone.

:( I so wanna come ... next year hopefully

    And on to the poll:

    1. How did you first hear about or discover NakedWithSocksOn.com? How long have you been reading?
    - I saw you in my page log on BP and was curious. I am not quite sure but I think I have been reading since last November?

    2. What part of the world do you live in? (i.e. city & state, or country for international readers).
    - Berlin, Germany

    3. Are you a daily reader or occasional? Why?
    - I'm addicted ... so yea, daily reader.

    4. Is there a certain time of day you are most likely to read new posts?
    - Usually, right after I check my emails in the morning I come and see what you are discussing that day.

    5. How likely are you to check back in on a blog entry to see how the discussion has evolved once you’ve read the latest entry? If so, why?
    - I always check back because I am interested to "hear" other opinions and perspectives. Sometimes I want to go into more detail about what I said in a previous post and somebody misunderstood me.

    6. Based on the current format, do you feel a need to check the site more than once a day? Why or why not?
    - I usually check it more than once, depending on how the conversation develops.

    7. Are you a regular reader that rarely comments? What is it about the blog that you enjoy but doesn’t lead you to join the discussion? Are you worried about being anonymous?
    - Doesn't apply.

    8. Do you normally read posts on a computer, Blackberry or another mobile platform? If reading on computer, are you more likely to read at home or at work?
    - On a computer. I work from home, so both :-P

    9. What types of posts do you enjoy the most? Stories, op-ed, personal, humorous, poetry, erotica, replies to reader questions? Why?
    - I like the stories, controversial discussion and the humorous ones. Basically, I like it all.

    10. What types of posts do you enjoy the least? Why?
    - Hm, hard to say.

    11. What are your thoughts on guest blogs? Are you less likely to read guest bloggers or the author doesn’t matter as long as the content is on point?
    - I enjoy the guest blogs. Content/subject is what matters.

    12. For my Twitter followers and FaceBook “friends,” are the hourly tweets and status updates too much? Does the frequency of promotional blasts make you less likely to visit the site?
    - I think I hid you status updates on Facebook. At least I am not getting any. The only way I am being reminded of your blog is the highlight column on the right.

    13. Are you a subscriber to my email alerts? What led you to subscribe? What do you feel are the benefits of having an email subscription, if any? What are the downsides?
    - Doesn't apply.

    14. Are you a former subscriber who canceled your account? If so, what led you to that decision?
    - Doesn't apply.

    15. Are there any functions or sections you would like to see added to the site to make it better? Are there any sections you could do without?
    - Need to give it some thought.

I try to comment as much As I can but sometimes I worry about going off topic. if it's a topic that I can relate to I usually do comment or if it's OD funny like your (Wipe me Down or 3 Scoops of Heaven) I def. Will post.

I currently view and comment via Iphone. Everything looks and comes across the same way it does on a computer.

I enjoy allllll your post. I especially loved your September 30 in 30 posts. It kept me on my toes and I couldn't get enough. I secretly wished you would continue for another month. You say you think the readers don't care for the poetry. I'm not one too much into poetry but it is nice when you gives us somehing new.

Guest bloggrs no problem with me, as I was one a couple months ago with my dear NWSO lettter.

Lol sometimes the facebook statuses of the days post are annoying since it directs us to the daily post but you just use different lines to get us to click the link. Maybe after you send us to the post of the day twice in your status. You could redirect us to an old post that some of us might have overlooked, forgot to comment or didn't get many hits. Or this could help new readers see what you been writing and what we have said in the past about a post. This could help catch them up.

I was a subscriber but I need to resubscribe with my new email address. Thanks for reminding me!

I miss when you were on blogger or was it blogspot? Idk but you would have the tittle to the post of other popular blogs. When I read the titles of their post it made me want to read or pass. On this new format I can only see the tittle of the blog.

Thanks nwso for a year of good words, advice, and so much more. Celebrate tonite (I can't make it, I'm only 20 grrrr) but please do have a sidecar drink in honor of one of your biggest fans. Sohoissooverated

    1. I first heard of you from an article in Essence magazine (I am a subscriber) so now when I see your name I get excited like yeah go Ans! I've been reading a few months now.

    2. I am in Cincinnati, Ohio

    3. I read daily because I like the topics you bring up. I am a graduate student and a single woman so its nice to hear a male opinion of what's going on in the world.

    4. I get it on my blackberry when you post a new blog but I don't read it until I arrive home. Normally evening.

    5. I don't check in after the conversation goes on for a while I don't like reading from a computer screen so it gets to be too much for me.

    6. No I only check once a day, because I know when you post due to alerts from my BB.

    7. I have only commented a few times but I love reading so I am never too far away.

    8. With the topics you dicuss I would definitely not read your blogs at work. I read them on my computer.

    9. The posts I enjoy the most are personal stories, humor, but secretly I look forward to wet wednesdays. Last, I enjoy some of the crazy comments from your regular readers.

    10. I like mostly all your blogs, because I like the perspective you bring.

    11. Sometimes the guest blogs aren't as good (let me rephrase) its not your style so I get a disspointed but I do understand just like I found you I could find another blogger I like and start following.

    12. I am a new twitter follower so I don't have an answer yet.

    13. I am an email subscriber and I love it because I know as soon as you post and what the topic is about.

Happy Anniversary! I would love to make next years party:)

    1. How did you first hear about or discover NakedWithSocksOn.com? How long have you been reading?

I read abelleinbrooklyn on a regular basis and she had you as a guess blogger awhile ago. I've been reading since you were on blogspot

    2. What part of the world do you live in? (i.e. city & state, or country for international readers).
    Atlanta, Ga, USA

    3. Are you a daily reader or occasional? Why?

For the most part a daily reader. I have had times where I don't even bother to read the comments because they have gotten a little too much for me.

    4. Is there a certain time of day you are most likely to read new posts?

Midnight or when I wake up in the morning

    5. How likely are you to check back in on a blog entry to see how the discussion has evolved once you’ve read the latest entry? If so, why?

Depends on the topic. Also I've put my friends on to your blog so we have side discussions about topics too

    6. Based on the current format, do you feel a need to check the site more than once a day? Why or why not?

I only check more than once if I am commenting or interested in reading them

    7. Are you a regular reader that rarely comments? What is it about the blog that you enjoy but doesn’t lead you to join the discussion? Are you worried about being anonymous?

Yes. I for the most part love your blog. Some of your daily commenters turn me completely off. Sometimes expressing their opinions can come across as disrespectful and sometimes downright ignorant. I believe adults can have a good discussion and not agree but still be respectful of each others opinion. the religion blogs drain me. If I see that's the topic I don't even read it.

    8. Do you normally read posts on a computer, Blackberry or another mobile platform? If reading on computer, are you more likely to read at home or at work?
    Bb or computer..mainly my BB

    9. What types of posts do you enjoy the most? Stories, op-ed, personal, humorous, poetry, erotica, replies to reader questions? Why?

Stories, the stuff with your dad has been great, humerous and advice. Sometimes I would like to hear your opinion on current events like McNair's death. Oh the STD blogs also insightful

    10. What types of posts do you enjoy the least? Why?
I hate when you write about religion. I always feel like its frivolous back and force. I can't stand anyone forcing their beliefs on people whether we believe the same thing or not. The comments always leave me feeling upset, offended and drained. Its never a productive or insightful discussion. Its people going back and forth trying to discredit each other. I hate them.

    11. What are your thoughts on guest blogs? Are you less likely to read guest bloggers or the author doesn’t matter as long as the content is on point?

Guest bloggers are cool. I never thought the panty blog would be so popular. The blind date one was good. I'll skim a guest blogger. If it doesn't catch me first paragraph I prob won't continue reading it

    12. For my Twitter followers and FaceBook “friends,” are the hourly tweets and status updates too much? Does the frequency of promotional blasts make you less likely to visit the site?

I barely notice it on fb. At this point I check nwso like my email.

    13. Are you a subscriber to my email alerts? What led you to subscribe? What do you feel are the benefits of having an email subscription, if any? What are the downsides?

Not a subscriber. Never took the time to see what it was. I also don't like lots of emails etc so I prob won't subscribe

    14. Are you a former subscriber who canceled your account? If so, what led you to that decision?
    N/A
    15. Are there any functions or sections you would like to see added to the site to make it better? Are there any sections you could do without?
I don't think so. Great site. Congrats on your first year. Keep up the good work

  • July

  • http://www.mstrecie.com Ms.Trecie

    1. How did you first hear about or discover NakedWithSocksOn.com? How long have you been reading?

I first became a fan of NWSO through another fellow blogger. I got hooked right away. The writting style and post topics are enough to draw you in and keep you coming back daily.

    2. What part of the world do you live in? (i.e. city & state, or country for international readers).

I am a resident of Nashville, Tn.

    3. Are you a daily reader or occasional? Why?

Daily. I subscribed to the blog so it comes to my email.

    4. Is there a certain time of day you are most likely to read new posts?

First thing in the morning. I read before I typically start my work day, unless I have a meeting scheduled for 8, then I read as soon as I get back to my desk.

    5. How likely are you to check back in on a blog entry to see how the discussion has evolved once you’ve read the latest entry? If so, why?

I typically don't check on the discussion unleast I post a comment, at which times it comes to my email.

    6. Based on the current format, do you feel a need to check the site more than once a day? Why or why not?

No, I know that there are not typically more than one post a day, but if it is then see question #3.

    7. Are you a regular reader that rarely comments? What is it about the blog that you enjoy but doesn’t lead you to join the discussion? Are you worried about being anonymous?

    I occasionally comment.

    8. Do you normally read posts on a computer, Blackberry or another mobile platform? If reading on computer, are you more likely to read at home or at work?

Computer at work, unless I am off.

    9. What types of posts do you enjoy the most? Stories, op-ed, personal, humorous, poetry, erotica, replies to reader questions? Why?

I favor all of them the same...well Wet Wednesdays are at the top of the list.

    10. What types of posts do you enjoy the least? Why?

    N/A

    11. What are your thoughts on guest blogs? Are you less likely to read guest bloggers or the author doesn’t matter as long as the content is on point?

I like the guest blogs. I like to see you give other people a chance to shine on your blog.

    12. For my Twitter followers and FaceBook “friends,” are the hourly tweets and status updates too much? Does the frequency of promotional blasts make you less likely to visit the site?

No, they are appropriate and spaced out well.

    13. Are you a subscriber to my email alerts? What led you to subscribe? What do you feel are the benefits of having an email subscription, if any? What are the downsides?

Yes. I subscribed because I enjoy the blog. Point, blank, period.

    14. Are you a former subscriber who canceled your account? If so, what led you to that decision?

    No.

    15. Are there any functions or sections you would like to see added to the site to make it better? Are there any sections you could do without?

I like the layout and the settings as are. Keep it up. And congrats on the 1 year!

I'd love to provide some answers to your blog evaluation questions - but 15 questions are lot to tackle while working...

Suggestion (for the future) - Using http://www.surveymonkey.com would probably make it a lot easier for us readers to provide you with answers quickly, and for you to collate/sort all of the responses to your questions, plus poll your results (percentages, stats, scale / ratings, free hand text comments, etc.)

Once again, congratulations on your first anniversary, and have a fabulous time tonight...Hopefully the next time I'm back home in NY you will have another NWSO event.

  • http://nwso.net NWSO

    @Nan Ataa

Thanx, I didn't even know they had sites like that.

    1. A friends friend was a guest blogger and so she sent me the link to read it (Anisha). every since her post which was two weeks ago i've been hooked and loving it.
    2. Bangalore, Karnataka, India. (we're not as third world as some would like to believe)
    3. I'm a faithful regular. Why? you ask, let's just say you have some serious skill and you're putting it to real good use. The battle / discussions between the sexes will never get old.
    4. Usually when i get back home from work. which is early morning or something of the sort in NYC.
    5. Depends on the topic of discussion, and of course the digression of discussions somehow always manages to keep things interesting.
    6. the only reason i constantly check is to see if there are any new posts.
    7. Yes i am, well i figured cultural differences play a huge role when it comes to certain discussions. No, i'm not worried about being anonymous.
    8. I read it on my computer or my phone depends on where i am. definetly never at work. The name of the site pretty much causes room for concern.
    9. It doesn't really matter, everything you write seems to give me some sort of insight on something or the other.
    10. i ike it all!
    11. Well the guest blog concept is a nice one, considering that is the way i chanced upon the site. but as for the quality of the writing, everyone has their own stlyle so my appreciation varies.
    12. when i do log onto facebook at the end of the day, i feel like i missed a whole lot. The hourly updates keep for good entertainment. :)
    13. Yes i am a subscriber, i subscribed because i figured that's the only way for me to know when there's a new post, besides facebook.
    14. NOPE
    15. I think it's doing pretty darn well the way it is.

    CONGRATULATIONS!
    Have a fabulous night.
    XOXO

    1. I cant remember whose blog you were linked on but um yeah another blog. I've been reading since around October.

    2. New Orleans, LA.

    3. I read daily, I have lots of free time at my job so it's what I do as soon as I get here.

    4. As soon as I get here mid AM. LOL

    5. I don't usually check back because I don't comment much.

    6. I never comment much because so I don't usually have any replies to look forward to.

    7. I don't comment much because lots of time what I'm thinking has already been said. I only usually comment when I have a experience that relates and is unique.

    8. I usually read on my computer I only read from my iPhone if I forget o bring my laptop to work. I cant be pulling a site like NAKEDwithsockson.com at work. They might think I'm a freak. I mean I am, but I'm just saying...

    9. I like all of them that's why I visit daily because it's never the same. The personal has to be my fave though, erotica next then the humorous...I enjoy all kinds of reads!

    10. What types of posts do you enjoy the least? Why?

    11. I think it's great that you allow guest bloggers to come thru. I read daily regardless.

    12. I follow on Twitter but I login rarely. When I do login though I'm like DAMN he be on his shyt! lol

    13. I don't subscribe anymore bc I come here daily anyway. No need for me.

    14. See above.

    15. Keep it up it's great.

  • MizzRenea

As for the commerical um.....it's missing something definately a work in progress but if your sticking with the midnight theme it needs more stars or a brighter moon or something lol....

  • http://nwso.net NWSO

    @MizzRenae

You'll have to talk to the man upstairs (and the lens on my Flipcam) about the more stars and brighter moon. LOL

  • Shay from L.A. (Los Angeles)

    @NWSO

It looks like you need to pay a nominal commission to A Belle in Brooklyn :) It seems as if she is responsible for a chunk of your readership, lol.

I found you by reading one of your relationship articles on a website that I can't remember the name of now. All I remember is it was an African-American lifestyle website.

I have been reading since October 1, 2008.

Redundant but, I am from Los Angeles, CA

I am a daily reader. When time allows, I try to post a comment.

I try to read your post when you first put them up since there is a time difference for me and that allows me to provide more thorough comments.

Usually I check the "Notify me of followup comments via email" box (thanks for that) so I don't have to check every five minutes :)

I normally read and post from my laptop. However, if there is a heated discussion going on for the day, I will check back from my mobile phone.

I enjoy all of your post. I like that you don't focus on one particular subject. It makes it interesting and I anticipate what's yet to come.

Guest bloggers are great ;) Besides, you need a break every now and then.

The hourly updates are a bit much. I will admit to "hiding" your status updates.

I am a subscriber. After I read your first blog I subscribed so I wouldn't miss anything.

  • Shay from L.A. (Los Angeles)

    15. Are there any functions or sections you would like to see added to the site to make it better?

Oh yeah...can a sista get her picture included in her comments.

I have noticed that some, but not all, have photographs, how does that work?

  • Ms. Royalty

    1. How did you first hear about or discover NakedWithSocksOn.com? How long have you been reading?

First discovered NWSO by Hello Beautiful. I've been reading @ the NWSO site for about 2 weeks.

    2. What part of the world do you live in? (i.e. city & state, or country for international readers).

    Atlanta, Ga

    3. Are you a daily reader or occasional? Why?

I am a daily reader because your topics are so interesting and make for great conversation topics

    4. Is there a certain time of day you are most likely to read new posts?

Nope...Just when every I check email and see there is a new post...and then emails for comments.

    5. How likely are you to check back in on a blog entry to see how the discussion has evolved once you’ve read the latest entry? If so, why?

Very Likely. I comment on things sometimes and I always check the little notify box. I do that because the topic is something I'm interested in and would like to see if anyone commented on my post.

    6. Based on the current format, do you feel a need to check the site more than once a day? Why or why not?

Because I get notification via email, I only check the site more than once to commnent.

    7. Are you a regular reader that rarely comments? What is it about the blog that you enjoy but doesn’t lead you to join the discussion? Are you worried about being anonymous?

    No, I comment most times.

    8. Do you normally read posts on a computer, Blackberry or another mobile platform? If reading on computer, are you more likely to read at home or at work?

Usually read on a computer @ home.

    9. What types of posts do you enjoy the most? Stories, op-ed, personal, humorous, poetry, erotica, replies to reader questions? Why?

I like them all for different reasons. But the erotica and humorous ones are always great. Nothing is better than laughing or getting in the mood.

    10. What types of posts do you enjoy the least? Why?

Definitely the open ended ones. lol You have me so into the story that I want the beginning to the very end all at one time. But it's worth the wait.

    11. What are your thoughts on guest blogs? Are you less likely to read guest bloggers or the author doesn’t matter as long as the content is on point?

I like guest blogs. I like reading comments and different opinons. I love hearing about others experiences, thoughts etc. So while I'm a fan of your work, it doesn't matter as long as the content is on point.

    12. For my Twitter followers and FaceBook “friends,” are the hourly tweets and status updates too much? Does the frequency of promotional blasts make you less likely to visit the site?

Nope, that's what your suppose to do. I'm usually on and off facebook, it's not attached to my phone in aynyway and I don't have a Twitter.

    13. Are you a subscriber to my email alerts? What led you to subscribe? What do you feel are the benefits of having an email subscription, if any? What are the downsides?

I subscribe and I did it because I want to keep in touch with the blog. I have a bad memory, so havin the alerts remind me to check out the site. I love that I'm first to know what's happening, I get the comments and I can also check it from phone if I'm away from the computer.

    14. Are you a former subscriber who canceled your account? If so, what led you to that decision?

    N/A

    15. Are there any functions or sections you would like to see added to the site to make it better? Are there any sections you could do without?

No suggestions at te moment. Keep up what your doing. :-)

    @Shay

I posted this before (working on a FAQ section) but to get an image with your comments you have to go to Gravatar.com and register your email address with an image. That way your image will show up on sites that support Gravatars.

IMPORTANT: you have to type in your email address LOWERCASE or it won't work. I just figured that out myself, because I've been with Gravatar from the beginning but my logo wasn't showing up till recently.

    Enjoy

    1. How did you first hear about or discover NakedWithSocksOn.com? How long have you been reading?

Answer: I discover NakedWithSocksOn.com by chance. I was surfing the net with nothing to do at night and came across this wonderful blog. I have been reading it for 3 or 4 months.

Answer: I live in Brazil. I am from Rio de Janeiro.

    7. Are you a regular reader that rarely comments? What is it about the blog that you enjoy but doesn’t lead you to join the discussion? Are you worried about being anonymous?

Answer: Yes, I am a regular reader that rarely comments, although I’ve already commented on this blog 3 or 4 times since I started reading it. Answer: I always read posts on a computer. I am more likely to read them at home.

    Answer: Read answer above.

    11. What are your thoughts on guest blogs? Are you less likely to read guest bloggers or the author doesn’t matter as long as the content is on point?

Answer: I really love the guest blogs. I think they provide a great opportunity for everybody to speak their piece not only by replying blog entries but also by writing what they have on mind in a different way. As long as the content is on point I always have the pleasure of reading everybody’s guest blogs.

    12. For my Twitter followers and FaceBook “friends,” are the hourly tweets and status updates too much? Does the frequency of promotional blasts make you less likely to visit the site?

    Answer: not a Twitter user.

    13. Are you a subscriber to my email alerts? What led you to subscribe? What do you feel are the benefits of having an email subscription, if any? What are the downsides?

    Answer: not a subscriber

Answer: In my opinion this website is already great. I wouldn’t change anything.

    1. How did you first hear about or discover NakedWithSocksOn.com? How long have you been reading?

I think I was checking Facebook or Myspace when I first noticed NWSO...oh no no no, what it was was I was reading about or looking at Rihanna's leaked sex tape and NWSO popped up some kind of way. For all the naysayers out there I am not like that just curious about Rihanna THAT'S IT!!!!
I don't know how long I've been reading but it's been some time now, or maybe not that long, but yeah something like that!

    2. What part of the world do you live in? (i.e. city & state, or country for international readers).

I currently reside in Sacramento, Ca.

    3. Are you a daily reader or occasional? Why?

I am a daily reader unless I'm extremely busy and can't get to it for some reason. I try to be a daily reader because I've LONGED for a blog like this, there is no other around like this one.....at least I haven't stumbled upon something like this.

    4. Is there a certain time of day you are most likely to read new posts?

It can be any time of day, I just make sure that I get to it, that's the most important thing...as long as I get to it!

    5. How likely are you to check back in on a blog entry to see how the discussion has evolved once you’ve read the latest entry? If so, why?

I like checking back at least twice a day because I just want to see if someone responded to my comment, and if so I respond back to that person, which leads to a friendly family oriented blog......

    6. Based on the current format, do you feel a need to check the site more than once a day? Why or why not?

Same answer referenced to question #5.

    7. Are you a regular reader that rarely comments? What is it about the blog that you enjoy but doesn’t lead you to join the discussion? Are you worried about being anonymous?

If it's something that I'm not too interested in I won't comment but I make it a point to try to comment to EVERYTHING! What's the point of reading it if you're not going to respond?

    8. Do you normally read posts on a computer, Blackberry or another mobile platform? If reading on computer, are you more likely to read at home or at work?

I'm more likely to read at home because I'm a workaholic, so I just save this as a pleasure thing.

    9. What types of posts do you enjoy the most? Stories, op-ed, personal, humorous, poetry, erotica, replies to reader questions? Why?

I honestly love all the posts but my thing is really geared towards the "battle of the sexes" type blogs.......gotta love those!!!!

    10. What types of posts do you enjoy the least? Why?

Well sorry to say but I don't really like the guest blogs because Anslem, honestly you are the JUICIEST!!!! Sorry :(

    11. What are your thoughts on guest blogs? Are you less likely to read guest bloggers or the author doesn’t matter as long as the content is on point?

I breeze through the guest blogs......but I honesly look forward to yours Anslem-SORRY AGAIN!!!!

    12. For my Twitter followers and FaceBook “friends,” are the hourly tweets and status updates too much? Does the frequency of promotional blasts make you less likely to visit the site?

Honestly Anslem I like your NWSO blog rather than the Facebook, it's just more interesting and in plus this is where I started and I'm used to seeing these people opposed to your Facebook peeps.

    13. Are you a subscriber to my email alerts? What led you to subscribe? What do you feel are the benefits of having an email subscription, if any? What are the downsides?

Yes I do subscribe to your email alerts, and what led me to subscribe are all about the blogs, I can't say this enough but I love them......absolutely LOVE THEM!!!! The benefits for me is that I can remember better that way and there are no downsides.

    14. Are you a former subscriber who canceled your account? If so, what led you to that decision?

I don't think I'm going that route any time soon, like I always tell you Anslem keep it coming and if you EVER think about cancelling this thing that you started then I will hold an CYBER STRIKE......LOL

    15. Are there any functions or sections you would like to see added to the site to make it better? Are there any sections you could do without?

All I have to say Anslem, is......PURE GENIUS!!!! THANK YOU!

Last but not least....it's too bad that I can't bring NYC to Sac because I would have one hell of a time, damn why you got to be SO FAR?????? NOT FAIR!!!!!
Anyway keep up the good work and keep it coming!

    1. How did you first hear about or discover NakedWithSocksOn.com? How long have you been reading?

I was visiting Black Planet and saw a link to read this blog. I forgot the topic but it caught my eye so I know it was something sexual...lol ;)

    2. What part of the world do you live in? (i.e. city & state, or country for international readers).

    Bridgeport, CT

    3. Are you a daily reader or occasional? Why?

Daily unless I am really busy but I will more than likely back track to read anything I missed.

    4. Is there a certain time of day you are most likely to read new posts?

No time in particular. Wet Wednesdays are mostly read minutes after its been posted Tuesday night.....call me impatient hmmmm lol

    5. How likely are you to check back in on a blog entry to see how the discussion has evolved once you’ve read the latest entry? If so, why?

Before the "notify me" feature I rarely almost never checked back on responses posted after mine.

    6. Based on the current format, do you feel a need to check the site more than once a day? Why or why not?

    No.

    7. Are you a regular reader that rarely comments? What is it about the blog that you enjoy but doesn’t lead you to join the discussion? Are you worried about being anonymous?

If I read the blog late and there are a bunch of comments I usually don't comment because I just feel someone probably already said what I was going to OR the topic may not have touched or connected with me as well as others have.

    8. Do you normally read posts on a computer, Blackberry or another mobile platform? If reading on computer, are you more likely to read at home or at work?

I read only on a computer/laptop. Both at home and work depending on how busy I am. However, comments that may follow mine, I read when I check my emails via cell.

    9. What types of posts do you enjoy the most? Stories, op-ed, personal, humorous, poetry, erotica, replies to reader questions? Why?

Erotica 1st....call me freaky lol, then personal stories, humorous, poetry I like it all but some reader comments rub me the wrong way so I don't read them all.

    10. What types of posts do you enjoy the least? Why?

They all intrigue me in one way or another.

    11. What are your thoughts on guest blogs? Are you less likely to read guest bloggers or the author doesn’t matter as long as the content is on point?

Guest bloggers are interesting and so far they have not let me down.

    12. For my Twitter followers and FaceBook “friends,” are the hourly tweets and status updates too much? Does the frequency of promotional blasts make you less likely to visit the site?

Depends on the topic but u r filling up my status home page....u can cut back a little :)

    13. Are you a subscriber to my email alerts? What led you to subscribe? What do you feel are the benefits of having an email subscription, if any? What are the downsides?

I subscribed back when I read your first blog because I wanted to make sure I didn't miss anymore interesting blogs. The benefit is having a link to on hand quickly in case I'm too busy to read it immediately. The downside is I get the email alert 9am-10am the next morning when I know its posted midnight the previous night.

    14. Are you a former subscriber who canceled your account? If so, what led you to that decision?

I was tempted to cancel and you already know why but I felt it wasn't necessary. I reacted without thinking and I am not going anywhere anytime soon....

    15. Are there any functions or sections you would like to see added to the site to make it better? Are there any sections you could do without?

Not sure right now but I could get back to you on that one.

I forgot to say for #1 that I have been reading since I think last year early to mid October and it was a Hello Beautiful link on Black Planet.

  • Shay from L.A. (Los Angeles)

Yes! I found you on Hello Beautiful as well. The first blog I read was "10 Signs of a Good Woman"

  • http://myspace.com/nexus_da_underdawg da ThRONe

    @Shay

    What were the 10?

  • http://nwso.net NWSO

    @Shay

Damn, your old school. that was like one of the earliest posts. But come to think of it, it was a few months in before I posted that on HelloBeautiful.

There's always the search engine at the top of page to find topics that have been covered before.

But i'll help you out this time:
