12 Beautiful Dark-Skinned Women I Forgot to Mention

If you missed my 40 Most Beautiful Dark-Skinned Women of All-Time post last week then click here and enjoy. Well, I hope. Even though I explained that “dark-skinned” and “brown-skinned” are the same thing in my unbiased eyes, there were still complaints about certain sisters not being “dark enough.” Namely, Jada Pinkett-Smith, Phylicia Rashad and Joy Bryant were a few picks that were called in to question. Well, you can’t please everybody, but the sentiment of highlighting dark and lovely sisters that often get overlooked by the mainstream wasn’t lost on everyone.

While I stand by my list 100%, I can admit that I overlooked a few notable people that rep #TeamDarkSkin all day. So I being that it’s 2012 I compiled a list of 12 Beautiful Dark-Skinned Women I Forgot to Mention. This time around I didn’t bother ranking these women so here they are in no particular order. Feel free to share your thoughts on the additional picks and let me know where you would have ranked them in the original list and who you would have swapped out.

Ok, since you went “ole skool” and included Judy Pace, you have to add Gloria Hendry, Brenda Sykes and Theresa Graves (Laugh-In and Get Christie Love). Lola Falana and Eartha Kitt were considered quite beautiful in their day as well.

Great list again and I think the underlining point here is not so much about who isn’t on the list but the fact that there are many beautiful dark skin women - so many, that many may slip the mind when compiling a list. This is a good thing.

the only one of this selection that was any where dark enough was Grace Jones and she was all oiled up. I’d like to see even darker women, down right blue black. they only get better as the skin darkens and forget the euro-influence in face and body, dump that, keep it african.
